LEGO 6697 Rescue-I Helicopter

LEGO 6697 Rescue-I Helicopter is a city set released in 1985. It contains a rescue helicopter with two minifigures. Behind the pilot's seat is a large compartment that opens to the left. A winch on the inside runs a rope over an extendable arm next to the large door. The helicopter is labeled with the registration number "LL-KPL" and has a lifebuoy logo on the sides. One of the minifigures is wearing a life jacket, which was not a special piece, but just a generic rectangular vest that was common in the 1980s. The life preserver logo could be a precursor to the later Coast Guard logo introduced in 1989 with 6387 Coastal Rescue Base, which would make it the first Coast Guard rescue helicopter.
